Artist Anna Baba was born in Hobart, Tasmania to Polish/Italian parents who migrated to Australia post World War II. As soon as Anna was able to hold a pencil or brush she was drawing and painting. Anna was introduced to the art of Wycinanki (Polish paper cutting) in her youth, and commenced pursuing it as part of her regular artistic repertoire upon moving to Newcastle, New South Wales. Anna has participated in a number of local art markets and was co-ordinator of the Rotary Club of Adamstown-New Lambton Art and Craft markets for four years. Anna currently belongs to the Hunter Arts Network (HAN), and regularly exhibits both her paintings and Wycinanki at HAN Arts Bazaar which is held three times a year.
