T H E S T O R E | ART | ARTISTS | CZESIA MARKIEWICZ
Polish-born, Czesia migrated to Brisbane as a teenager. She always held a great love for art, enjoying sketching and ink especially. She has been taking pictures ever since she received a simple Russian SLR Zenit from her dad.
Educated as a Scientist at the University of Queensland, she redirected her efforts toward creative outlets soon after. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree from RMIT in Applied Science Photography, Melbourne.
Over the last 20 years, she has worked as a professional photographer and visual artist, with solid experience in digital media. While having a family, Czesia held a position in an in-house graphics production department at a Medical Research Institute. She has been responsible for the Institute’s photographic needs, including Editorial Photography, Portrait Photography, Events, and Scientific Documentation.
She has recently relocated to Brisbane freelancing and working on personal projects. Czesia loves the creative process and gets an enormous sense of satisfaction from producing a beautiful image, whether it is a portrait, a macro, or an aerial photograph. She notices spellbinding details everywhere and endeavours to capture these.
